Remarks:
Good size and color. Upper lip damaged and lower lip chipped, siphon and stromb lobe chipped. Erosion on some knobs. Still nicely colored and nicely sized specimen.
Note: According to the DNA research published by Irwin et al, 2024, Strombus alatus Gmelin, 1791 is synonymous with Strombus pugilis Linnaeus, 1758. We follow the latest publication and put Strombus alatus as form of Strombus pugilis.
