Remarks:
Good size and color. Lip damaged, siphon and stromb lobe chipped. Lot of erosion on the spire and knobs. Bore holes present in the spire. Still nicely dark colored and nicely sized specimen.
Note: According to the DNA research published by Irwin et al, 2024, Strombus alatus Röding, 1798 is synonymous with Strombus pugilis Linnaeus, 1758. We follow the latest publication and put Strombus alatus as form of Strombus pugilis.
